Meet You In Your Dreams (MYIYD) is an emotional yet positive children’s book / picture book, which allows the reader to either relate to their own experience or to learn empathy when it comes to a child with special needs.

We see the story through the eyes of a young boy, named Ryder, who wants to connect with his younger sister, Seraphina, who is diagnosed with a brain disorder.

Ryder’s mother helps him navigate how to love his sister, while also showing others grace and compassion. MYIYD shows the beginning stages of a child trying to understand and navigate their confusion as well as the childlike wonder of having a beautiful imagination that includes adventure, animals, nature and more, all told through a colorful poetic backdrop.

This book is great for children of all ages, teaching them both family values and what it is to truly have compassion for others. It also promotes ability inclusion while helping parents open dialog with their children about special needs.

MYIYD is a 30-page children’s book with full page illustrations in premium color, with a hardback: case laminate cover. The ebook version is also available here on Kobo!

Book Reviews

This book is so beautiful! I definitely teared up reading it! And my kids wanted to read it first thing this morning! Congrats again!!! So happy for you!! What a beautiful message to deposit in the hearts of our kiddos at such young ages!! Thank you for your obedience and doing this hard work to get this out for the next generation!!

-Brooklyn, NY; Mother of 3

From the Author Hope G. Forman
His mother replied, “not everyone can see a person for what is on the inside”
Such a big lesson needed for children and adults..
I highly recommend this book for every home!!! And school!!!
There is so much greatness in this book, from highlighting a person’s difference, showing how strong families with special needs kiddos are, and showing a bond between siblings... simply remarkable....

-Cleveland, TN; Mother of 3, all with Special Needs

My children and I loved this lovely story. It sparked such beautiful conversation about differences and love and compassion. The illustrations were beautiful as well. Loved it!!

-Huntington, NY; Mother of 2, 1 with Special Needs

Wow, this book is so touching in so many ways. It hits a subject matter that doesn’t seem to be discussed with young kids that should be talked about way more. Loving those with disabilities. It’s beautifully written and feels so good in the end. Such a fresh take. Loved.

-Anaheim, CA, Mother of 2

Such a beautifully illustrated and delightfully expressed and inspired rendition of the power of love and compassion of a young boy’s heart for his special sister. This heartwarming story may bring a tear to your eye.

-New Orleans, La.; Mother of 3

I read this book to my four children tonight. It’s beautiful and kind. It touches on special needs and how to love and value people who are atypical. What an excellent tool for children! My 7 year old insisted on taking the book to bed to read it again.

-Pineville, La; Mother of 5, former caretaker for Special Needs children

I love this book, and so do my children. The illustrations are beautiful, but the message is so incredibly special. We need to teach our children how special everyone is, and this book helps do that in a glorious way.

MYIYD Illustrator: Dmitry Fedorov

Dmitry worked tirelessly to create MYIYD just the way Hope envisioned and, of course, added his own creativity and inspiration to the story.

Dmitry Fedorov was born in 1984 in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2005, he received a law degree. However, he’s loved drawing since childhood but didn’t consider an art career until 2014 when he fell in love with oil painting together with his wife.

In 2015, he made the decision to learn digital art then moved on to illustrate his first children's book in the fall of 2016.

Dmitry currently devotes a lot of time to self-development and likes to paint with different materials and in different styles. In 2020, he’s currently illustrated about 30 children's books, which he truly enjoys. He also loves spending time with his wife and daughter. Some other things he loves are animals (including his pet dog and two cats), nature, eating vegan, and riding mountain bikes.

Book Dedication:

While MYIYD is not based on true events, it was largely inspired by Hope’s pastors, Chad & Julia Veach and their beautiful daughter, Georgia. Despite the challenges that come with having a special needs child, the Veaches have been an inspiration to many through their continued faith and fortitude.
